Playing with my oats!

Confession...I did not do laundry yesterday.  Ok, now that I got that off my chest.
What I did do, was start my day with a delicious bowl of steel cut oats topped with warm vanilla mashed banana and Crofter's Asia!
I never was a jam person, but since I won this box of Crofter's jam assortment, I have really been enjoying the varitey of flavors!  I made a deal with myself to only open one after I finish another one.  This is my second jar...Asia!
I love the chunky fruit and the tart flavor!  Raspberries, cherries, red grapes...and yumberries?  I had to know.  Apparently, yumberries have been eaten in China for thousands of years.  It's a superfruit!  They look a lot like a raspberry and taste sort of like a cranberry.  Let's talk health benenfits...

-fights free radicals
-reduces blood pressure
-lowers LDL
-fights inflammation associated with arthritis
-aids in digestion

Ok, I may be reaching on the jam doing all this for you, but hey, it tastes good and there is hope that this will all help me out!  Right?
Anyway, regardless, this bowl was so good!  Steel cut oats, mashed banana with a few drops of vanilla NuNaturals stevia and Crofter's Asia!  MMMMmmm the warm banana and Crofter's gets all melty on top of the oats!  So good!

I've said it before, but I don't stir things into my oats.  If you leave everything on top, you get a little in each bite.  Do you stir things in or are you a topper?

  2. Mmm I love Crofter's! I need to try it in my oats. I think I alternate between swirling in and topping!

  3. I'm glad you got that off your chest, too - because you just reminded me that I NEED to do laundry today...or else! haha.
I had Crofters...Erurope? I think? And loved it - the rest of their flavors sound great, too - especially this one. And dried yumberries are the best!
I am definitely a topper, too. My toppings must NEVER get stirred in ;)

  4. When I eat my oatmeal, I scoop up some oatmeal, then scoop up some toppings. I guess it's a two scoop process for every bite ;)

  5. Well, I'd much rather eat your lovely breakfast than do the laundry, too. ;-)
I'm seeing this Crofters brand everywhere! I'd love to try them! I'm a topper, for sure...And I always leave the toppings for last!

  6. Now that sounds like my kind of oatmeal. Love the idea of the vanilla bananas. I typically just chop up bananas, add PB and sugar-free strawberry jam to my super cinnamon steel cut oats. Oh, don't feel bad about the laundry. I didn't do laundry either :-)

  7. I just do a really light and quick stir- that way, the peanut butter gets a little more melty and spread out. That way it lasts throughout the entire bowl and I don't end up eating a scoop of pb and that's the end of it...

  8. I totally agree about leaving the toppings on top and crafting a perfect bite each time. :)

  12. Hey Sarena!
I have a confession. I tried Crofters Europe, and didnt love it. For the price, it really wasnt that good! Can you recommend a different type of Crofters that is perhaps better?
