My oldest turns 12 today! I am really not sure where the time has gone. I still remember this little guy...
I swear, when I look at him, he still looks like this to me! I know he is mine, but I think Jay is the sweetest, most considerate person I have ever met. I always thought that we teach our kids, but honestly, he teaches me so much everyday. I know we are about to enter some pretty hard years, but I am still looking forward to every day I get to spend with him! I just hope it doesn't go too fast!
His only request for today is pizza and a cookie cake. So, that is what he is going to have! Breakfast though, was a banana bread pancake with peanut butter and chocolate chips! Now I am off to bake a cookie cake! Let the fun begin!
Did you or do you have special dinners for your birthday? Growing up, I always requested to go to my favorite Japanese restaurant and ice cream cake was my favorite!
Happy birthday to him!
ReplyDeleteOh my!!! That's the CUTEST picture!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son :)
he is SO CUTE!! happy birthday to him!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet sweet picture! My bday always falls right new Thanksgiving and it was close to my grandmothers. So, you guessed it, my bday dinners were often celebrated on Thanksgiving. I feel cheated...
ReplyDeleteI love that he keeps it simple. Pizza and cake. BAM. Solid birthday if you ask me... lol
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son!
Is it bad that my dinner last night was very similar to your breakfast? But instead of a pancake, it was a tortilla wrap... I don't do well with nights when I'm "on the run" with an empty refrigerator!
Happy Birthday to little Jay! Such a cutie. I always had the pick of my mom's arsenal of delicious baked goods. Usually, I requested her carrot cake, but other favorites are her chocolate chocolate cake and cookie cake! :)

ReplyDeleteWe were just talking about birthday food the other night. My mom is a chocoholic and it didn't matter whose birthday it was, there was chocolate cake. Now I like chocolate cake, but I also like yellow cake, and cherry cake, and spice cake, and...
I always loved cookie cake growing up. This year I want a lemon cupcake. I don't know where my cravings come from. LOL

ReplyDeleteMy mom did "scholarship dinners." When we got above a 3.5 we got to pick the menu! I often chose flank steak when I was little.
