We started talking to our friends Matt and Nayoung about this year's pumpkin carving festivities and it got me looking at last year. Nayoung took all of these pictures (thank goodness) and now I am looking forward to the creations we come up with this year! We may be going to the apple festival too, but either way, I am looking forward to fall festivities!
Max! In the last year, his teeth have come together!
I think Jay is the same...goofy! We did not come home with his pick!
Yes, I started baking immediately! Do you notice that Tony has power tools on the kitchen counter to carve with?
He is not kidding around when it comes to carving!
Apparently Luke had a secret to tell Max!
Leia hiding out...they have gotten so big this past year! We got the kitties right before this.
I just love the heck out of this kid!
And this one!
Nayoung taking a picture of me taking a picture of my favorite person!
The creatures that were created!
Our crazy family!
I don't remember going to pumpkin patches as a kid. We always went to Christmas tree farms. Did anyone else do the pumpkin patch thing? What was your favorite part? I can't pick one favorite part...I loved it all! Although, I really love baking while everyone else carved!
This is making me so remeniscent. We went to a few pumpkin farms when I was younger. Really, all I remember is the apple cider doughnuts. Now we do the christmas tree farm thing. Less to look at but so much fun!
ReplyDeleteOh this fills me with Autumnal bliss!!!!
ReplyDeleteEvan, I am so wanting apple cider doughnuts! Gluten free and dairy free just makes them a little more challenging, but just as good!
ReplyDeleteSteph, I am so freaking excited!
What a beautiful family! Your three boys look like such a blessing. And those pumpkin creatures are fantastic! :D
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest boys ever! Haha, and the power tools crack me up!! Andrew is pretty hardcore about his pumpkin carving skills also! ;) I can't wait for him to carve pumpkins with our little boy!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think we ever went to a pumpkin patch when I was a kid either, but like you, we did go to a christmas tree farm. We will definitely be taking our little boy next year and getting lots of adorable pictures!! :)
Love the pictures. What great memories to have. We never went to pumpkin patches either - but my sister now takes her kiddos to a pumpkin patch that happens to be owned by family.
ReplyDeleteI am totally going to the pumpkin patch this weekend with some friends for the FIRST TIME. Yes, I'm 25. No, we do not have kids going with us.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't be more excited. :)
I love these pictures - so much happiness :) And I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had one hand pouring in an ingredient, and the other on the keyboard checking the recipe!! haha.
ReplyDeleteI never remember going to a pumpkin patch, either - but we did grow our own! I have vivid memories of my sister cutting her hand and needing to go get stitches. Ahhh, memories...haha. Tony looks much safer with his method - they came out beautiful! I can't wait to see this year's :)
aw these pictures are so cute! Is that you with your husband? your hair is so long (if it is you! ) and pretty. Those pumpkins are huge too! don't even seem to compare to where I went!
ReplyDeleteNicole, that is me! My hair is really long right now. When I cut it, I am chopping it off and donating it. Thank you for the compliment! That made me feel good and I really needed it!
ReplyDeletecutest pictures of the boys!! they are precious.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun. We always went to the pumpkin patch as kids. It was fun!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to go this year!
ReplyDeleteWe're going to a pumpkin patch this weekend. And you must tell me where this apple festival is. :D
ReplyDeleteAaww, I love pumpkin patches! Looks like you all had a ton of fun :D
ReplyDeleteThere's so many things I love about this post that I don't know where to start!
ReplyDeleteFirst, the pumpkins are amazing. Any pumpkins my family has carved.. well, they don't look nearly as good as those ones.
Secondly, I'm in love with the picture of Luke and Max. It's perfect and really does look like he's telling Max a secret.
You guys are amazing parents. I didn't do anything like pumpkin patches, apple picking, etc...I think it's wonderful how much time you and The Illustrator spend with your kids. You set a great example. Have a great day Sarena!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in upstate New York and going to the pumpkin patches around this time of year was ALWAYS one of the class field trips we used to take. It was fun because the kids could really pick out what they wanted because their parents weren't there to tell us no! =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun time!
ReplyDeleteAwww, TOO cute!! I love all these family pics!
ReplyDeleteI loved going to the pumpkin patch when I was younger. We'd even go with my elementary school ever year! Our best pumpkin was when my dad carved me a "new kids on the block" one... It was awesome.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures - you guys are such a cute family. :) I got myself a pumpkin on Sunday at the apple orchard and can't wait to decorate it. I can't decide if I'm going to carve it or just paint it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Sarena!
I love the pictures! When I was a kid we bought our pumpkins from teh grocery store -- they have mounds and mounds outside in the parking lot.
ReplyDeleteI love the use of power tools for carving! My husband uses a bunch of different tools too. I just use those little safety pumpkin knives :)
Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog for the 1st time. What a fun post! Your family is so beautiful, and you all look so happy!
