This weekend was crazy busy with running around. We had such a great time hanging out with our friends. When we finally got home last night, we made a fire and sat down to watch ELF and then immediately passed out.
Now, I am off to make some chili (I wish I had some in the freezer), do a quick cleaning of the house and then trash the house with Christmas decorations. I am so ready to decorate!
I am also pulling some mini cornbread muffins out of the freezer to go with it. I love the ease of freezer foods!
Have you decorated for the holidays yet? What is your favorite freezer friendly meal?
I love Elf! Such a great Christmas movie. Have fun decorating!
ReplyDeleteIts the perfect weather for chili here! Mmmm! Now i want some for dinner!
ReplyDeleteHave fun decorating :)
ReplyDeleteI read that as you sat down to watch Alf. That would've been awesome!
ReplyDeletegreat chili! but your last post, the gingerbread balls is where it's at for me!
ReplyDeletehope you guys are doing well..healthy and over your sickies from a week or so ago :)
Man...I wish I had some chili and cornbread right now!!!
ReplyDeletePost pictures of your decorating-- you and the illustrator have such great home decor taste; I bet your decorations are really fun!
We had chili last night, but no cornbread. It's been a long time since I've made any. May need to check out your recipe. Love having homemade bread stashed in the freezer. Comes in handy!
ReplyDeleteChili + Elf?? Count me in! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe just decorated for Christmas Saturday and watched Elf then too ! My favorite meal to pull out of the freezer is actually chili.
ReplyDeleteI certainly have nights like that where we sit down for a movie and then immediately pass out. It's kind of nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great weekend!! Elf & a fire sounds so cozy :)
ReplyDeleteI have lots of veggie burgers and chili in the freezer that I keep forgetting about. I see them coming in hand this month, though - I'll be working more and have less time to cook! See, I knew I saved it all for a reason :P I also freeze pretty much all the muffins I make as soon as they're cooled. So handy!
Chili is probably my favorite freezer meal, too. Veggie stew is a close second.
ReplyDeleteI decorated last week and love it. I have a little Christmas tree in the window and decorations on the shelves. It puts me in an immediately happy mood. :) Have fun!
Love chili and muffins in this cold weather!
ReplyDeleteI made your gingerbread cookies last night. Yummy. Even though mine didn't really turn into balls like yours did.
Have fun decorating! Such a run time of year and that chili looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCorn bread and chili were made for one another! Elf = best Christmas movie ever! It's on my DVR year-round because I love it so much :)
ReplyDeleteWe are all decorated! Enjoy! If you have outdoor stuff to put up, keep warm!
I finally decorated my tree tonight, as per my Jewish hubbys request, LOL. I LOVE chili in the winter!!! I am so in the mood for it!
ReplyDeleteSadly we have done no Christmas decorating yet, not sure if we will. Although our family back home has, so looking forward to seeing the tree finished and lights on outside!!
ReplyDeleteMore chili and cornbread, yum! Seriously, I want to live at your house so you can cook and bake for me all the time :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so making those gingerbread cookie dough balls btw.
YUM! Those 2 go perfectly together- what a great meal!
