Our tree is finally up!
We have already found a (20 lb) cat sitting on the top...
I am guessing due to this creature being on it!
We decided to not put glass balls on the tree this year since the cats are completely fascinated with the ornaments.
I am thinking since Santa has been molested a few times already, this was a good call.
Our tree has always been more of an outdoor them. The pine cone garland and red berries are my favorite part of the tree...
and I love this little guy that Jay painted this year!
We had a great weekend with the boys. We enjoyed a lot of holiday movies (apparently Die Hard is considered a Christmas movie...if you send Tony and Max out for festive movies), warm fires...
and apple cinnamon cookies.
Do you have a favorite Christmas (holiday) movie that you have to watch every year? Mine is White Christmas and I watched it yesterday while folding laundry. It definitely made the task more enjoyable!
Beautiful tree & Ornaments; and delicious-looking cookies!
ReplyDeleteI always watch "Miracle on 34th Street" on Christmas (the original version with Natalie Wood).
Those cookies look delicious!! Die Hard is a Christmas movie at our house too! :)
ReplyDeleteScout has been batting ornaments and sleeping under the tree, but has not been so bold as to get IN the tree. :)
Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the holiday season! We miss you!
Beautiful Tree! Love the owl ornament :)
ReplyDeleteMy fav holiday movie: The Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby & Fred Astair :)
Oh apple cinnamon cookies??? YUM. I think I need that recipe ;-) So glad you got your tree up. It looks great. Hope you're staying warm!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story. It never gets old :)
ReplyDeleteThe tree is adorbs! Very nice work. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday movie probably changes with the day. But today, I will say Christmas Vacation. I loved Chevy Chase back in the day! Oh Clark...
Your tree looks beautiful! I love Elf and The Grinch (cartoon version!). Gets me in the Christmas mood every time! :)

ReplyDeleteYour tree is so beautiful! I love the ornaments :) Our cats (and dog!) love having a tree in their house to play with, too!
ReplyDeleteThose apple cinnamon cookies look amazing. Perfect for tree decorating :)
I do enjoy a Christmas Story even though it's kind of overplayed.
ReplyDeleteyour tree is beautiful. Ive heard alot about cats breaking ornaments! I want one of those apple cookies.
ReplyDeletegorg tree!
ReplyDeleteWhen i was growing up, my cats always used to hide in the tree and then "attack" the ornaments and then try to get to the top of the treetop. Oh, the memories. lol!
Oh... Die Hard is definitely a Christmas Movie!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful. I like the owl ornament.
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful! Those cookie look marvelous as well.
ReplyDeleteI love White Christmas. Elf and A Christmas Story are great too :)
I am a sucker for a Christmas Story. It is usually a TV marathon on TNT on Christmas Eve and after everyone leaves my house and we have cleaned up, Keith and I will cuddle up on the couch, turn off all the lights except the tree and watch it...laughing through out. It is always a fun way to end Christmas Eve just the two of us and get ready for the family maddness of Christmas Day!
ReplyDeleteI bet the cats are enamored by those ornaments -- mine would be! such a cute blog! I'm uber lactose challenged as well so I feel right at home here =)

ReplyDeletei watch pretty much every xmas movie that comes on - not fully, just kinda in the background...
Gorgeous tree!
ReplyDeleteI hear you with the cat crazies when it comes to the tree!
I found my cat napping in the tree! I still don't get what's so interesting about it! But, wise choice not to put any glass ornaments on!
