Anyway, I got up this morning and got a great workout in...which I totally needed and now I am heading back to deal with numbers. I will tell you that my incredible husband made me the best salad yesterday with leftover salad mix we brought back from a friend's house on Saturday night. A huge thank you to my friend for the salad since I haven't bought lettuce or tomatoes since December! The salad with the over easy egg makes the best lunch! I love the warm "dressing" the egg makes on the salad and super bonus, I get my B12 vitamins! Oh and things always taste better when someone else makes them.
As for treats yesterday, we finished off some date rice pudding. I loved the flavor dates added to the rice pudding. I decided to try dates instead of raisins since Jay doesn't care for raisins and he found a love for dates. Score.
Raise of hands...who likes numbers? NOT ME!
I love runny egg yolk on salad. You're right, such a good dressing!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your numbers. :)
Ohhh I haven't tried the runny yolk on salads ( I have one rice concoctions and love it)...i'm just starting to crave eggs again so I may have to try this.
ReplyDeleteHope you're number free by tomorrow!
hope things start calming down for you!!
ReplyDeletelove the idea of egg on a salad! i will have to try that
I love those types of salads!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the accounting stuff!
Ugh, I don't envy you girl. However, kudos to the hubs on that salad. How sweet. I hope you can get out from under those numbers soon. That would really stress me out.
ReplyDeleteGlad the workout helped to relieve a little stress! Good luck with the accounting stuff- I was never a big fan of math, either... :p
ReplyDeleteDrooling over the egg!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the accounting.
An egg on a salad is super delicious --and you are so right, meals taste so much better when someone else makes them!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the numbers -- I like that sort of thing sometimes, but not when I'm under pressure!
I've been trapped under a blanket of words...but I'd take that over numbers any day!!! I'm HORRIBLE at math-- one of the best days of my life was the day I completed my final math class in college, ha!
ReplyDeleteHope you work your way out of your blanket...I'm still working on mine!
Oh man, I am so not a numbers person. That's why I married an accountant. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am not a numbers person! My hubby is an accountant though!
ReplyDeleteI only like numbers if it is on sale or it is money to me ;)
ReplyDeleteA runny egg on a salad sounds so good!
You may not like numbers...but you did have a lucky number in my giveaway. ;) ;)
ReplyDeleteI seriously LOVE numbers (why I went to school for finance!), but HATE doing my taxes. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely not a number person, either, Sarena! I don't envy you one bit! Good luck getting through it all. :)
ReplyDeleteI just bought some dates and am salivating over some date rice pudding. Yum!
Numbers make me crazy; and NOT a good crazy!! After enough time working with them I just end up staring at the page dazed and confused. Ugh. Sounds like you're nearing the home stretch, though!!
ReplyDeleteThe rice pudding looks wonderful!! I imagine it's awesome with dates :]
I love numbers!! I did our business taxes last month and will be doing the personal ones this week. I've been dreading it since we owe money, but don't mind doing them at all. But, my background is in accounting/finance, so I better like numbers :)
ReplyDeleteBoth my parents are accountants, but I didn't follow them in that career path. I'd say I'm fairly skilled with numbers, but definitely don't enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteHope you'll be done soon and will have more time for things you enjoy!
ps- I have a fun giveaway on my blog! You should check it out!
I've only recently been able to eat runny egg without gagging. Baby steps, right?
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain - numbers are not my forte. Over-easy eggs are though. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
I agree food is always better when someone else makes it!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this. My taxes are killing me not so softly right now!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE runny egg yolks, although I have to make myself not think about it -- eggs and I have an on again/off-again relationship. I think I'm about to be on-again with them, especially since I'm eating only local foods this summer. When I was little my mom would make me soft-boiled eggs, and I'd dip butter-topped whole wheat bread into the runny yolk...SO comforting.
ReplyDeletegood luck on the number crunching...such a chore and one i hate, too!
ReplyDeleteok, thats the 2nd time I've seen an egg on a salad today. I think thats a sign that we must have that for dinner.
ReplyDeleteHope those numbers get smaller. At least the workout is in! yay!
Mmm, I have been LOVING egg on salad greens SO much lately... I love the runny yolk as dressing.
ReplyDeleteI love numbers... I didn't really like math classes in school, but my first job after college was as an accountant, and I've had that title a few times :)
hope you are number free soon!
I hate numbers with a passion!
ReplyDeleteYup. Hate numbers. Love dates. And now, it seems, eggs too. Salad and eggs... so on that. :-)
