  1. I never sneeze just once. I's normally 3 times, but can be up to 12. I know, impressive!
  2. I keep my nails really short. I've done this since culinary school and it grosses me out when I see people cooking at restaurants with long nails. Ugh, the bacteria...GROSS!
  3. My favorite food is oatmeal. Sweet, savory, baked, mushy...you name it, I'll eat it and love it!
  4. I had my belly button pierced when I was 20. I kept it until I was 7 months pregnant with Jay. I would totally get it back again, but at this point, with all the abdominal surgeries I've had, it would not be worth it. Bummer.
  5. I'm super cheap. Seriously, I will shop around forever to make sure I don't spend too much. Tony hates that I have now trained him to be this way. He's not nearly as good at it as I am, but he's getting there.
  6. We had kids when were young so we would still be young when they left the house. They have now informed us that they are never leaving! Ooops, I think it's time for us to turn up the nasty here. Seriously, we want to still be able to do things we love when the kids are gone. Hopefully we will be in that position...hopefully.
  7. I have a four leaf clover tattoo (I know I've mentioned that before) that I got when I was 18. My parents told me I would regret it. Not only do I not regret it, I would get more tattoos. The sad part is that they are too much money since I should be saving up for my kids college...see #5.
What I've discovered through this is that I'm really not that interesting unless you count the fact that my boys (all three of them) are impressed by my farting ability. Remember, I am EXTREMELY lactose intolerant.

I have way too many people that I would tag...in fact I would tag all of you. However, I'm going to just ask all of you to leave me a fun fact. I love these types of things because I think you really get to know the people that read better.

Have a great weekend!

  1. haaa... Sarena I LOVE this! the last one is STILL making me laugh as I type... *tee hee*

a couple we are great friends with and do a lot with socially, they had kids VERY young... and now in their mid 30's one is almost out of high school and one is college age... they have their whole lives ahead of them still!! :)

I don't regret my tattoos either, and I also want more... I just really don't want them TOO visible (no arms, etc) so I have a few I REALLY want that I can't figure out where...

    Happy Weekend, friend!!

  2. Fun! I love these kinds of personal posts. Here's my facto: I have had 11 piercings, only 3 of those have closed up. Now it's 3 in each ear, 1 in the nose and 1 belly ring. No tattoos yet, but if they weren't so expensive I'd be covered in them.

  3. Ha, this was too funny!! Okay, here is my fact: Whenever I eat a grapefruit I cut it in half and then carefully cut each little segment and I have to make sure that all of them are cut out well before I will eat the grapefruit. My dad tells me I am crazy. I like to think I am meticulous. lol

  4. I am kinda liking the savory oatmeal better than sweet now. We'd totally hit it off. Well, we already do! hehe.
    And don't worry, I am a cheapo!

  5. Oh girl you are not boring. I had my belly button pierced for several years then I stopped wearing short shirts (thank God). I took it out when I got my tattoo. Oh and my dad never knew. I would either wear a 1 piece to the lake or take it out.

  6. I LOVE that you are that way with the tattoo. My parents were so upset with me when I got my belly button pierced. Not only do I not feel bad I got it, but I sort of love it and wish I were able to still have my tongue ring to where I could put it in or take it out whenever... :( I like being "alternative" every once in a while...

  7. I love that your boys are impressed by your farting talent -- that is interesting Sarena :)

  8. Love the 7 things. :)

And we had kids earlier too for the same sort of reason. We want to be young when they're older.

  9. Loved reading your facts :] I can't do the long fingernail thing, either - but I never really thought of it in terms of cooking!
    Hmmm....something about meeee....I can't think of anything I haven't shared yet!

  10. Loved this!!

I keep my nails short too, Lori keeps her's long. One thing that keeps us different haha

  11. You are not boring at all! I used to have my belly button pierced. I love oatmeal too!
    Thanks for sharing!

  12. I love learning more about you! I usually sneeze 3 times also when I sneeze. I also keep my fingernails super short, I hate when they break.

  13. Lol @ the farting. That made me literally laught out loud. And I totally agree on the tattoos.

My fact: I have 11 holes in my ears. And I pierced all but 2 of them myself.

  14. I loved this post! So nice to get to know some fun quirky things about you, Sarena. :)

When I was little, instead of having imaginary friends, I had an imaginary wolf pack that would "follow" me around. Haha. I was obsessed with the movie version of White Fang.

  15. I had my nose pierced for about four years. I miss it sometimes but the hole closed.

  16. Tehe, fact #8 was funny :)

I'm super cheap too. I've always been relatively frugal, but it was my insanely cheap, price around everything husband that pushed me into a whole new category.

  17. Sarena -- this was so fun to read! I think having kids young is a great idea, for that reason! Although, at 28, my husband and I still don't feel ready to have kids. We might adopt older kids, though, so I'm sure it'll work out in the end.

    I'm also super thrifty!

A fact about me...I LOVE green pureed soups. I can't get enough of them. I've had them once for every meal for a full day, and I still didn't get sick of all the greens. It's a bit out of hand but still healthy!

  18. Great list! I had a belly button ring too...I could put it back, but I guess I just feel too old now!

  19. Love your post! I have nose, eyebrows (both) and belly button holes still trying to close and loved them all. Like you, I also got my first tattoo young and my parents told me that same thing. I love them and keep getting 'just one more'.

  20. I had a belly button ring, too. Luckily I got smart and took it out when I got pregnant. No mommy belly button ring for me!! I do have 3 tattoos, though..... :)

  21. I'm with you on the tattoos! I'm up to 6 now and have a whole montage planned for my back... but no one ever sees them but Eric!
Oh yeah, I can breathe fire!

  22. Hahaha! Oh girl, I needed this laugh! I'm still chuckling over that last comment! hahaha!

I keep my nails kinda short too...mainly because I CAN'T seem to grow long nails. Plus that's just gross when you work in a hospital. I cringe when I see girls with acrylics! Eww!

I got my belly button pierced on my 18th birthday and I still love it! No tattoos for me though. I'm so fickle I just can't ever think of something that I would be happy with for the REST of my life!
