The best part of the weekend, was the ending. We had pizza! By 4:00pm, we were pretty much done and needed to relax. I had some Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust in the freezer (it freezes really well!), I made a gluten free pizza crust that I need to play with a little more, but I will share soon
(Never mind the cheese on here, but the crust is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I have one more thing to do in order to make it a little doughier, then I will share it.)
(My favorite mix of mushrooms, peppers, onions, spinach and nutritional yeast!)
So, I decided to take it easy on myself this morning with my workout. I did Ellen Barrett's Slow Robics (I think this is similar to what I did, but I recorded mine from FiTv a long time ago). I really love this workout for those days that I really want to move to stretch things out, but don't want to over do it since I worked out all weekend. It combines strength through movement so your heart rate does go up, but with out a lot of bouncing around. Great workout in my opinion.
Today is another busy day for me. I'm massively scrubbing bathrooms and the hardwood floors. It's funny, our house isn't dirty by any means. The illustrator and I are kind of neat freaks with no clutter, but every so often you need to do a really good once over on everything. I really needed this Spring Cleaning!
I think pizza is the best way to start and end a weekend! I really need to get into a cleaning mode like that. Hope you have a good one!
ReplyDeleteCan you come spring clean for me? But it would be more of a I-haven't-cleaned-since-we-moved-in type of thing...
ReplyDeleteI love the end result of spring cleaning...but the process? Ugh.
ReplyDeletePizza is a perfect way to reward yourself for hard work! I love pizza....so much. I think I could eat it everyday, but really am still looking for top notch gluten free and dairy free (but not gross fake cheese either) versions...
I'll be stalking your gluten free crust recipe when you post it!
The thin crust looks so good! Ahhhh pizza....
ReplyDeleteThe girl I'm moving with is obsessed and has pizza every weekend as her "thing".
I'm not seeing any problems with this. ;)
Happy Monday!!!
It sounds like you had an amazingly productive weekend, Sarena! I'm sure the house looks beautiful. I have today off for a state holiday and so plan on doing some spring cleaning, myself. :)
ReplyDeleteJason would be so jealous that you have all of those Star Wars legos :) We have our fair share too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a productive weekend, but yes, cleaning wears me out too!
I did spring cleaning too, and I totally relate to the boys-- I have SO much stuff that I never wear/use/need, but I'm so reluctant to throw it out! I need one of Oprah's henchmen to come and make me throw it out like they do on her episodes about organization and house makeovers, haha.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it feel good to have all of that work done though?? And at least you got to eat some tasty pizza ;)
ReplyDeletegirl you are on a cleaning frenzy. I need you to come to our house. So this crust....when do we get the recipe??
ReplyDeleteMmm, I'm definitely gonna try your pizza crust recipe!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering, do you ever eat dairy free cheese (because you're lactose intolerant too)?
Your pizza crust sounds AMAZING!!: D I totally prefer pizza WITHOUT cheese. It just tastes better! :D
ReplyDeletei got exhausted just reading about cleaning out the kids' rooms. In just 2 years I see how much stuff they accumulate.
ReplyDeletemushrooms, peppers, onions, spinach and nutritional yeast = that sounds great!
ReplyDeleteglad you got your cleaning done and your pizza making in!
I love the smell of our apartment after we clean! The work is so hard but the end result is always worth it, especially if you get pizza that looks like that, YUM!
ReplyDeleteMy spring cleaning will happen after I get out of school next month :)
ReplyDeleteHomemade pizza is a favorite in our house, too!
ReplyDeleteWanna come clean for me? I seriously hate it. Lol.
wow, you make me want to get up and clean something. (a minor miracle ;) You must really have a great sense of satisfaction after getting so much done. And your reward looks yummy too!
