Long Weekend Eats and Treats! |
I am blown away by the support of all of you! Thank you so much for your votes on my Georgia Peach Pie Cookie! I didn't realize that people can vote everyday! I hate asking anyone to vote once, but if you happen to remember and have a few extra seconds in your day, I would greatly appreciate your vote as often as possible. Thank you, again for your support! The voting ends July 27th.
This weekend is supposed to be a long weekend, but I feel like we are still in la la land here. Things are going well, but with all the activity around losing the illustrator's uncle last week, the illustrator is behind with work and trying to catch up now. I feel for him and he will be working all weekend. I'm hoping that he can step away for a few hours a few days this weekend. Hoping anyway. That's the life when you own your own business. Good times, right?!
I figured I would share a few things I plan to make for this weekend...
Watermelon
Now I am looking forward to the weekend! What are your plans? Any favorite foods you make for the weekend or things you like to do on long weekends? Labels: beans, breads, breakfast, gluten free, ice cream/pudding, main courses, muffins, quick, vegetables |

Yum! Those zucchini chips look so good! And, I just ate my weight in watermelon yesterday. ;) I think we'll be eating similarly, hehe.

All of those foods look so good!
This weekend the only special thing I am making is guacamole for a Monday BBQ. It is always a big hit!

Thanks for sharing your awesome recipes, Sarena! I'll definitely be having lots of watermelon, bbq and grilled veggies this weekend. I'm hoping my mom makes her awesome pasta salad, as well. :) Enjoy and make sure Tony takes a little bit of a break!!

Mmmm Lots of tasty stuff going on there!! :)
We're not making anything special that I know of!! But we are going to a BBQ tonight!

MMM The socca pizza looks so good! I still have my bag of chickpea flour I bought to make socca.
Tonight we are going to go watch fireworks at Ft. Gordon (Augusta, GA) and on Monday we are going to a cook-out. I plain on making my healthy jalapeno popper dip and bringing a watermelon... drunk with vodka. Hey it is 4th of July. ;)
Have a great weekend!

I don't know where you find all the time to cook. You're an inspiration!

Those peach cookies are the bomb! You may just win, my dear! :-) We're going camping at our mountain property. Cooking corn on the cob and potatoes in fire, steaming artichokes, gluten-free beer "can" chicken, grilled shrimp, and taking gf/df/rsf baked goods. Must get busy on the latter! Have a great weekend/4th, Sarena!
