Friday Fodder!

No, I have not fallen off the end of the earth...although I kind of feel like it. I can't believe how long it's been since my last post! I miss blogging so badly right now. Thank you for all of the comments and emails checking on me! It's nice to feel the love!

I can't really complain though, I'm good busy! My personal training business is doing well right now and Tony is busy, so really, I couldn't ask for me. Oh and we all are in good health (knock on wood), so there's that. ;)

I'm a little overwhelmed though, but that's to be expected when you start to take on more without a true shift in other things. So, it's officially time for me to start working on a new site. Blogger is giving me headaches with meeting my capacity on photos (I had to delete old photos to add these) and I really hate to waste my time trying to figure out how to get this blog where I want it. So, I'm working on getting a new blog together that will focus more on my personal training, fitness nutrition and healthy recipes. I will still be doing dairy free and gluten free eats (my heart is in my food), but that will not be my only focus. I'm a HUGE stickler when it comes to properly fueling your body for whatever your health goals are, so I want to really focus on that more.

Speaking of eats, seriously, I haven't pulled the camera out in what feels like forever. Instagram has been about it for me with the photos. I do like that it keeps my photos light and fun...oh and the boys' food doesn't get cold before we eat! Lately, food has been fast and portable so not many photos have been taken. Here are some of my favorites though...

Sweet potatoes, mustard greens and protein loaded flatbread

Turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce and wild rice soup (Tony's meal)

My favorite new addition to my favorite snack of celery and peanut butter sauce is cranberry sauce! YUM! Tart, sweet, crispy and delicious!

This is a new addiction thanks to my mother-in-law. Seriously, this stuff is like frosting! I love the addition of coconut with the peanut butter. So decadent!

On top of everything else, December has kind of been a downer month for me for years. I need to break out of the funk and enjoy life more! My goal for the next two weeks is to focus on the hear and now and the positive!

So tell me, is life crazy for anyone else out there? How do you cope with the stress?

  6. Life is definitely crazy over here. I'm going through my first round of law school finals. I find that sort of looking at things in the larger scheme help you to get through stress. Especially with things like exams, it's easy to get consumed in it all because one thing determines your entire grade. But then I just try to remind myself that I still have 5 more semesters to go, and I'm lucky to even have the opportunity to be in law school.

And...this is a very long rant that is straying from your actual post. Apparently this is how I handle the stress too, lol.

Glad to see that you're back in the blogosphere! I'd recommend going over to wordpress for your new blog. I did that a few months ago and it is much cleaner to use.

  7. yay for business being doing great for the both of you!! and hear ya on being busy. Gary is working late every night, working hard. Michelle and I are still trying to get our cookbook in print, and having issues with that. So life is really flying by but honestly I feel so blessed and happy.
We love wordpress, if you need any help let us know!

  8. Sometimes I think we're leading parallel lives. It's hard to focus on the here and now when things are so busy. But I'm really going to try - especially with Christmas in just about a week!
I'm so glad things are going well for you - it's nice to hear everything is working out!!!!!!

  10. I LOVE how full and happy your life is right now. The only thing -- you seem a little overwhelmed and not in a bad way but in a something's gotta give way...which was me a few months ago. And honestly, blogging was that thing that 'gave' and I haven't regretted it in the slightest. So do what you need to do my dear, you know you stay in touch with those in bloggy land that you would even if you weren't blogging, so remember that if you ever fear losing touch. :)
